~~Rare Early Signed Paid Of Horn Serving Spoons~~


I am offering for your consideration a rare matched pair of 19th century horn spoons out of a private collection found in Pennsylvania.

Both pieces are marked SN, or if inverted NS, which is carved into the handles. This may be the makers signature or the initials of the original owner.

They were, of course, created from natural horn. Individually they display unique markings, as to be expected with natural horn.They have a beautifully elongated bowls, so are likely serving or soup spoons.

They measure 8 inches in length. The patina is early & original.

There is slight roughness around the edges, but wear from utilitarian use is to be expected.
