~Early Primitive Green Paint Carrier With Rare Drawer - Berks County~

I am offering for your consideration this fabulous early ultra primitive divided carrier in original dark green paint. It has a single drawer that is as deep as the carrier itself.

Measuring 24 inches x 11 3/4 inches with 7 inch tall sides, this box (and drawers) were constructed with a mix of old / early nails..

The early dry painted surface remains untouched and pure, appearing to be original. I have not attempted to clean or alter it in any way.

There is a mouse chew on the carrier floor and a narrow piece missing from the bottom (visible in pictures). Surrounding the box around the drawer end, iron braces were placed for stability at one time throughout the many years that this piece was being used.

Circa mid 1800's. At this time, this early primitive piece is in a private collection. It was original found within a small borough in Berks County Pennsylvania.

An exceptional find!
