~~Early Primitive Wooden Civil War Era Noise Maker / Clacker - Old Paint - It Works!~~

I am offering for your consideration an exceptional Civil War period and very primitive wooden noise maker / clacker that would have been used in the garden (to scare crows / birds).

It measures 12 1/4 inches x 4 inches x 1 1/2 inches and has a 5 3/4 inch long handle.

It remains untouched and pure. I have not attempted to clean or alter the surface in any way.

The dark and very dry paint appears to be windsor green / black.

Please inspect all pictures and you will likely agree that its approximate circa is mid 1800's. Berks County Pennsylvania origin.
