~~Early Cobalt Blue Decorated Pennsylvania Stone Jar~~
The previous owner / collector purchased this piece out of an estate in Pennsylvania.
This piece measures 8 1/4 inches tall and was decorated with a rich cobalt blue painted slip design.
Upon inspection and as shown, there is a hairline, though tight, and undoubtedly restorable if you so desired. In this area of the country, pieces such as this are considered highly collectible, and in this case, beyond reasonably priced. In addition, there are variations in the glaze. The inside was glazed in dark brown.
This wonderful piece of Early Pennsylvania Folkart is fresh to the open market and an amazing find.
