~~Original Small Early Primitive Paint Decorated Wooden Sled~~


I am offering for your consideration a sweet early American primitive paint decorated wooden sled.

With its old painted surface and small size, it is a real find.

The name L.P.Laffy can be found on the top / seat in drab gold letters with black shading. A very desirable attribute!

It is only 28 inches in length, 9 1/2 inches in width and 4 1/2 inches in height. The original iron sliders remain on the runners. Old screws and iron brackets were used in the construction.

Good condition. Narrow separation on the seat and expected overall paint wear. Charming old form!

Circa: 1870 or earlier. New England origin / private collection.
